Oh my gosh, I can't believe it has been over a month since I have been on my blog. Moving is VERY time consuming, especially when you move at a snail's pace! I was feeling very over-whelmed for a few weeks, but finally I am beginning to get ahead a little. The house and yard are beginning to feel like home now. We lived in the rental for a year before we found our own place and I didn't meet anyone in the neighborhood. The end of the first week here I got flowers and a "welcome to the neighborhood" note from one of my neighbors. I have since met several other people and I am very happy here.
I had really questioned God when we lost three places in bidding wars before we got this place and it wasn't our first choice, but as I am settling in and meeting people I can see His handiwork already. There is always a reason for everything that happens to us, we may not see it if we complain and if we don't "let go and let God" we will miss the opportunity to mature in Him.
This place isn't perfect, but it has the potential to become something great! Here are a few pictures of the on-going process.
